The Duo 3 Gold is here, the successor of the famous Duo 2 SE & Duo 3 mod chips. The Duo3 Gold now supports v1 to v16 PS2 & PsTwo consoles, with the addition of Autoboot on all models. The Duo3 Gold also supports the latest batch of PSTwo slimline SCPH-7700x. The Duo3 with its 17 wires for v1 - v8 and 22 wires for v9 - v16 is a popular and cheap Playstation 2 mod chip. The Duo3 Gold like the GT runs on 3v instead of 5v, this is a good thing when working on v9 to v16 consoles. The other interesting thing we noticed was they have gone back to the old IC & PCB design. We think this could only be a good thing, as the Duo 2 GT did not have the same stability and reliability of the Duo 2 SE. We think this was caused by the new IC used for the Duo 2 GT.

With all that said, the Duo 3 Gold is another perfect choice for the budget installer. The Duo 3 Gold offers all the features expected in today's chips without leaving a hole in your wallet. So if you were a Duo fan, we think your going to like the new edition to the family the Duo3 Gold.
